Affordable ecommerce for small businesses
We build it. We host it.
You pay 5% when you sell.
We design, build, and host your online store for free. The only time you pay us is when a customer buys, and the rate is a flat 5% of online sales. If no sales come in, you owe us nothing.
Free build
We design and build your full store. No setup fees, no add-ons, no template kits. You get a custom site, ready to sell.
Free hosting
Fast, secure hosting for as long as we work together. SSL, backups, monitoring, and uptime checks are all on us.
Flat 5% commission
One flat rate on online sales. No retainers, no tiers, no surprise invoices. If you don’t sell, you don’t pay.
About NEXT
We work like part of your team, and only get paid when you make sales
NEXT is a small senior team of ecommerce builders, designers, and marketers based in London, working with brands across the US, the UK, and Europe. We’ve spent the last ten years launching and growing online stores on Magento 2 and WordPress, and we don’t build on anything else.
We started doing commission work because we got tired of watching good founders spend tens of thousands on stores that never made a single sale. The setup is simple. We take the risk. You keep the upside.
Senior designers and engineers, not juniors learning on your project
Sites built for speed and good Core Web Vitals scores
We keep working on your store after launch, not just at launch
Plain reports that show every sale and every fee

How it works
From first call to first sale in four steps
A clear path from our first call to a store that’s earning. You stay in charge. We do the work.
1
Discovery call
A 30 minute call about your products, your customers, and what good looks like. We give you a straight read on whether this is a fit. No sales pitch.
2
We design and build
Our team designs and builds your store from scratch. Most projects take three to six weeks. You give input. We do the work.
3
Launch and host
We put your store on our hosting. SSL, CDN, backups, and uptime checks are handled for as long as we work together.
4
You sell, we keep tuning
We take 5% of online sales, and keep working on your store every month. Speed, SEO, conversion testing, new features.
The honest numbers
What does an ecommerce website cost?
Most people get blindsided by ecommerce website cost the first time they ask. A serious custom build from a US agency runs $15,000 to $80,000 upfront. Then it’s another $100 to $1,500 a month for hosting and upkeep. That’s before any changes, before marketing, and before you’ve made a single sale.
We flipped that. Our ecommerce development cost is $0. You pay nothing upfront, nothing for hosting, and nothing if no sales come in. The only price is 5% of online sales after the store goes live.
If you’re a small business or a growing brand that wants an agency-quality build without the agency-quality bill, this is built for you.

Why commission wins
Why we cost less than a regular ecommerce agency
A regular ecommerce agency gets paid the same whether you sell one item or a million. We don’t. Here’s how the numbers compare.

What 5% buys you
A growth partner, not a one and done vendor
We don’t hand over a finished site and disappear. The 5% keeps a senior team on your store every month. We fix slow pages, test new product pages, plug leaks in your checkout, and help you ship the next idea.
Ongoing speed and SEO work
Conversion testing and analytics setup
New features built at no extra cost
Hosting, security updates, and 24/7 uptime checks
Direct Slack or email access to the team that built your store

Common questions
Things people ask before they reach out
Straight answers on how the commission model works, and where it doesn’t.
What does the 5% commission actually cover?
5% of online sales that go through the store we build for you, measured every month. We don't take a cut of refunds, chargebacks, shipping, or taxes. At the end of each month you get an invoice with every transaction listed out.
How much does an ecommerce website cost?
A custom ecommerce website from a US agency usually costs $15,000 to $80,000 upfront, plus $100 to $1,500 a month for hosting and upkeep. With us, you pay nothing upfront and nothing for hosting. The only cost is a flat 5% of online sales after the store goes live.
Is there really no upfront cost?
Yes. We cover the design, build, hosting, and launch. The only money we make is the 5% on completed online sales.
Do you take a cut of in-person or wholesale sales?
No. The 5% only applies to online sales that go through the storefront. Wholesale, retail, and offline sales stay 100% yours.
What platforms do you build on?
Two platforms. Magento 2 for bigger ecommerce stores with large catalogs, complex integrations, or multi-store needs. WordPress (with WooCommerce) for smaller stores and simpler projects. We don’t build on Shopify or page builders. We pick whichever one fits your business, not the easier one for us.
What happens if we want to leave?
The agreement has a set project price for the build. Every commission payment reduces that price. When you want to leave, you settle the remaining balance and the website and content are yours to keep. If you've already done enough in sales, the buyout is covered.
Who is this not a fit for?
Stores doing under a few thousand dollars a month, and pre-launch ideas without any real sign that people will buy. The model needs sales volume to work for both sides. We’ll tell you straight on the first call if it’s not the right fit.
How long does the build take?
Most stores go live in three to six weeks. It depends on catalog size, integrations, and how ready your content is. You’ll get a firm timeline after we talk.
